Brainware University is a private university located near Barasat, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was established after the West Bengal Assembly passed the Brainware University bill in 2015. It is part of the Brainware Group of Institutions.

Brainware University is the brainchild of Mr. Phalguni Mookhopadhayay’s prolonged effort and is recognized as one of the top private universities in West Bengal. Built on a lush and expansive 9-acre campus at Kazipara Barasat, the university is at a stone’s throw from the nearest bus stop at Chaapadali. It is an autonomous body offering specialized courses in BTech, MTech, BSc, MSc, BCom, MCom, BBA, MBA, BCA, MCA, BPharm, DPharm, BA, MA, MPhil, Ph.D., as well as, Diploma courses in an array of subjects. The university also provides a student-centralized service in terms of accommodation, social space, and other relevant facilities. The university houses more than 90 faculty members. Our esteemed teaching faculty comprises of renowned research scholars and academicians of the leading institutes from within and across West Bengal. Ever since its inception in 2016, the University boasts a 100-percent student pass rate, till date.

Our Students participated in HACKATHON 2019 final and won the first prize on 2nd and 3rd March 2019.
